Experience
Tom is the Managing Director of ACC’s Rockville, MD office, which is located in the Washington DC/Metropolitan area. Tom has nearly 20 years of experience providing financial and operational consulting services to small and mid-market businesses across the United States. He has personally worked with over 100 different organizations to help them improve financial management, reduce costs and streamline purchasing across multiple departments and geographic locations. Prior to his current practice, Tom was a Partner in-charge of management consulting services for the national CPA firm, BDO Seidman. Tom also has significant experience in workflow management and process improvement, having helped numerous organizations streamline financial, operational and purchasing processes. In 2006 Tom was invited by the National Institute of Standards and Technology to serve as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, given annually to the best performing US companies.

 

Education
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland, College Park and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland.

 

Activities and Personal
Tom sits on a variety of nonprofit boards and committees including the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (Board Member and Audit Committee Chair), American Psychological Foundation (Audit Committee Member), Heart Rhythm Society (Finance Committee Member), and Excelerate Foundation (Board Advisor).
